During the spot color printing process, colors are often split into four process colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) and then mixed. This creates a wide range of colors. However, the spot printing method uses colored ink that is printed as a single-color plate. The spot color is premixed ink that matches a Pantone color number. In this method, one color requires one plate and a single run of the press. Two colors require two plates and two runs.
We recommend using the spot color label method if you need sharp, clear texts and graphics with a limited color scheme. Remember, you can always submit your art to us. We’ll help you decided on the correct method for your labels.
